A little-known treasure in Lausanne, Switzerland: the Collection de l’Art Brut.

This quite unique collection is devoted to what’s been called “outsider art”, the creative output of ordinary people with no artistic training at all – often loners, psychotics or the criminally insane – who for some reason suddenly began making their own art, on many occasions in middle or old age.

Estive recentemente em lausanne (abril 2011) e tive a felicidade de me dirigir ao museu de arte bruta. Fiquei fascinada. Aprendi mais durante as quase 3 horas que lá estive do que em anos de estudos. Parabéns

    Hello Lucilia.

I’m so glad you went to the museum and enjoyed it! It was an extraordinarily powerful experience for me. I went alone one morning and spent about 2 hours there. I would have stayed longer but I had a train to catch.

Thanks for letting me know you went!
